Ready, Steady, Cook!

Gosh! I am like such a fan to this programe show, don't say me aunty, but it is interesting and inspired!

I am gonna showcase some of my previous artpiece in this post ... behold~~

This is one of my attempt to make delicious fried noodles when i am still in Student Village, my first year in Murdoch. I remember it being tasted real good! It is with minced pork, onion, tomato and wanton noodles.

Being in the mat salleh country, sometimes we are being westernized and start to cook steak, but i don't eat beef so just a simple pan fried chicken thigh fillet and some awfully looking sides ... can't sell this out man ... look awful! but taste ok la, just ok.

Then i started my work in Bluewater Grill, and of cuz i got inspired a lot, and there goes my famous dishes:

Carvo Marvo famous seafood pasta. It taste so yummy! Garlic, white wine, parsley, seafood and mushy... yummy!

Then when i started to get bored with just one style taste good and look good kinda wester dishes, i wanted something fusion. Had a go on this fusion looking pasta, bok choy at the bottom, shitake mushroom and salami, it tasted weird anyway, so i am not making it again, but it looks good right!

Then got inspired by D's restaurant's pasta, i have an improvise version of my Carvo Marvo Seafood Pasta, this time with spinach and chilli, tasted good as well, but i think i lost my consistency on this dish!


Working under the pass in Bluewater Grill, i know more about food and their art and i started going out to eat a lot too.

This dish here .... i forgot wat is inside, but it is sweet potato mash and fried egg. (before the photo taken, the egg look quite artistic but can't hold for too long!)

Then one fine day, went to D's restaurant and tried their garlic prawns, it tasted so good and i wanted to make it on my own as well.

There you go, it looks ok, but the taste compared to D's restaurant, i still have a long way to go. (Don't bitch about the garnish, cuz i dun store parsley at home)

Another fine day, i am so tempted to eat fried food, being tempted from my restaurant's tempura prawn, tempura oyster, beer battered fish & chips, salt n pepper cuttlefish...

And this is my failed attempt to fried, they look so disgusting, not crispy and just look bad. Guess that might be because i don't have a professional deep fryer at home to help me fry stuff, but you know, another thing is oil also quite expensive!

During the summer, i am working so hard, eventhough i have got the money but i don't have the time and the companion to spend it, so what i do is buy seafood and cook it by myself for myself! :)

This is my seafood fiesta, i have got Garlic Bread to start with, then my entree - Garlic, White Wine Mussels, on mains i have chilled prawns (some pears as garnish), and i have broccoli as my side to go with the Chilled Prawns. And i had a glass of white wine of Voyager Estate Chenin Blanc 05' Margaret River, WA to go with my meal. Oops, forgot about desserts, because i am so so so full, can you believe it that i actually finish everything that night! I must have had a crazy thought that day.

Just recently, i made Garlic Prawn Skewers:

Look how amazing they look on the plate, i had parsley flake as garnish, look like it came from a restaurant right! Yup i am improving on making the dish look good and delicious!

One day watching Ready, Steady, Cook, inspired me to make this dish, Thai style Udon noodle:

Oops, i forgot to put seaweed as garnish, if not it would look good! (Please mind with the poorly photoshopped skill)

Not only food, coffee making is also another skill needed job.

Made myself a cup of Flatwhite with some chocolate flakes on it, too bad had the flakes covered the design i had on the thin frost. Next time i should take a picture on my Layered Latte.

The above food are all cook by myself, though some look bad, some just look ok, some look so homely, and some is getting there, but you know what, i just enrolled myself into Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, so behold everyone, i am gonna make the dishes look even better and taste even better, baking cakes and cookies, making lovely looking dessert. Next time i might be able to post some during-the-course-era dishes that make from me. Wait for me yay!

Because i am gonna cook food that come out from a restaurant, that look similar to this!

Taste very good, should go and try ppl and it is not expensive, for that price getting this quality, it worth it!
